The essentials
What is Fidecoin?
Fidecoin is the ecosystem that connects commerce, payment and rewards. It brings together three universes that work on their own or together: Fidecoin Rewards (rewarding after the purchase), Fidecoin Pay (payments and checkout) and Fidecoin Money (a wallet and a benefit at the moment of payment).
Is Fidecoin a cashback programme?
Fidecoin is not limited to cashback. Fidecoin Rewards links activation, the real purchase, the reward and the repeat purchase: every validated eligible receipt receives a guaranteed reward, to which Lucky Payback can add a bonus that can go, depending on the campaign's conditions, as far as a full refund of the purchase. Fidecoin Money, for its part, lets the merchant's benefit be applied directly at the moment of payment.
Do I need to download an app?
No. Everything happens on WhatsApp: you send a photo of your receipt, with no app to download and no separate account to create.
How does Fidecoin recognise a purchase?
The receipt sent on WhatsApp is read by Fidecoin's AI, which identifies the products and the retailer and checks that the offer is eligible. With the member's consent, the receipt is also matched with a real bank transaction via Tink: the receipt proves what was bought, the account proves the payment.
Rewards and Lucky Payback
Is every receipt a winner?
Yes: every validated eligible receipt is a winner. Each one receives a guaranteed reward, and Lucky Payback can then add a bonus.
How does Lucky Payback work?
Lucky Payback is a bonus that comes after the guaranteed reward. Depending on each campaign's conditions, it can go as far as a full refund of the purchase. You never leave without a reward: the bonus always comes on top.
Can a purchase be fully refunded?
Yes, that is the maximum possible Lucky Payback bonus, depending on the offer's conditions. It is not a systematic result: every validated eligible receipt first receives a guaranteed reward, and the bonus is added on top.
How much is a Fidecoin worth?
100 Fidecoins = €1. Rewards are credited in Fidecoins, convertible into euros.
How do I get my reward in euros?
Your Fidecoins convert into euros in one click, paid into your bank account.
Can I be rewarded with a receipt?
Yes. That is how Fidecoin works: your receipt proves your purchase. Send a photo of it on WhatsApp; once the receipt is validated, your reward is credited.
In which shops can I be rewarded?
It depends on the offer: some reward the purchase of a product, whatever the shop, others a purchase in a participating store. The conditions are shown in each offer.
For brands
What is Drive-to-Brand?
Drive-to-Brand steers the shopper's choice towards a brand or a product, then rewards the purchase identified on the proof of purchase. The brand no longer rewards an intention: it rewards a purchase.
How can a brand reward the purchase of its products?
The shopper sends their receipt on WhatsApp: the purchase of the product is identified on the proof of purchase, whatever the point of sale, and the reward is triggered. The brand rewards directly, without depending on the retailer.
What is the difference between Instant Payback and the repeat-purchase reward?
Instant Payback (FRI) credits a reward as soon as the receipt is validated: it is the high-volume entry point. The repeat-purchase reward (FRD) stays on hold until the product is bought again, proven by the next receipt: you never pay for an intention, only for a real result.
How can the real effect of a campaign be measured?
Fidecoin links activation to the real purchase (closed-loop). The incremental gain is isolated by control group: incremental revenue, repeat purchase, average basket. We measure the sales caused by the campaign, not the ones that would have happened without it.
How do I launch a pilot?
A pilot starts with a test budget, a targeted segment and a measurement of incrementality by control group. The simplest way is to talk to an expert: our team designs the set-up with you.
For retailers
What is Drive-to-Store?
Drive-to-Store turns an activation into a store visit. With the deferred reward, Fidecoins are held in reserve: the customer has 7 days to come back to the store and unlock them. If they don't come back, nothing is paid: you only pay for the actual return visit.
Open audience or closed audience: what's the difference?
With an open audience, any consumer who sends a receipt — even from another retailer — can access your offer: you recruit beyond your customer base. With a closed audience, only receipts from your points of sale are eligible, with an adjustable basket threshold: you build loyalty.
How can I offer cashback or a reward in physical stores?
The shopper sends their receipt on WhatsApp, or the reward is linked to the payment, depending on the store's equipment. Rollout terms are defined with each retailer according to its format and network.
Does Fidecoin replace my loyalty programme?
No. Fidecoin is complementary to your existing loyalty programme: it doesn't replace it. It adds a reward linked to the real purchase and a concrete reason to come back.
For which types of retail?
For every physical retail format: hypermarkets and supermarkets, convenience stores, franchises, store networks, specialist retailers, shopping centres, merchants' associations and towns.
Payment and connections
What is the difference between Fidecoin Rewards and Fidecoin Money?
Fidecoin Rewards rewards after the purchase, once the receipt is validated, with a possible Lucky Payback bonus. Fidecoin Money applies the merchant's benefit directly at the moment of payment: for example, for a €100 purchase with a 10% benefit offered by the merchant, the amount paid is €90.
Does Fidecoin work with my card terminal or my till?
Fidecoin can connect to the purchase in several ways: card terminal, connected till, QR code or receipt sent on WhatsApp. Connecting to the terminal or the till depends on the equipment: compatibility is to be checked with our team.
What is the QR code for?
The QR code is an entry point: on a poster, a screen or an in-store display, it opens the Fidecoin experience on WhatsApp. It is not a means of payment.
What is Fidecoin Pay?
Fidecoin Pay is Fidecoin's payments and checkout business: card terminals, tills and kiosks for merchants and networks. It is a business in its own right, equipping 1,600 merchants for more than 5 years.
Data and privacy
How is data collected?
In two ways: by reading the receipt the member chooses to send and, with their explicit consent, by connecting to their bank account via Tink (Open Banking), which makes it possible to match the receipt with a real transaction. This is zero-party data: shared voluntarily, in exchange for a reward.
Where is the data hosted?
The data stays in Europe: servers hosted in France and Germany, and AI hosted on Fidecoin's own infrastructure.
